I wish I could say that this has been a productive week for more prims, but it hasn't. I had a few bag orders that needed to be completed, so while I did work on a few little things, I don't have a lot to share.

A couple of days ago I spent a little time grunging up some tags. Most of them were put away for using in my larger pieces, but I did stamp and ink some as well.

No photo description available.

Today I'm planning to work on some pyn keeps and bowl fillers. And maybe a bag or 2.

The Mister is off work for the next 3 weeks, so I'm hoping to get quite a bit accomplished around the house, we're in the middle a few projects that I would dearly love to get completed!

Here's hoping for a productive, yet relaxing vacation.

Until next time!

A Harvest Stocking

Here we are, just a few days from September. Fall is just around the corner and with it comes my favorite holiday.

I created this stocking with the thought of something that would transition from fall to Halloween and then back to fall for Thanksgiving.

Right now, it is hanging just inside my studio door, and let me tell you, my studio smells so good!

You can find it in my Etsy store!

My college classes start at the end of this month, and let me tell you, starting school again after 30 years is a bit scary, but also exciting.

I do worry it will be hard to find a good balance between school, home, business, blogging and crafting, but I'm sure that it's just nerves.

It's fine. Everything will be fine.

Until next time,
Michelle

A prim finish.

I love to cross stitch, needlework. handwork, calms me. Whether I'm stitching on a cross stitch project, or sewing a binding down on a quilt, I seem to be happiest with a needle in hand.
I have many, many large projects that I rotate through, but I also need that gratification of a finish, so I stitch a lot of smalls as well.

And then I get to enjoy working on them all over again when it is time to finish (FFO) them.

This was one a I stitched up one evening last November. I had purchased a few silver plate pieces at one of my local thrifts, a month or 2 before, and was looking for a small enough piece to stitch for one, without stitching 1 over 1.
Then I was at the thrift again and came across this chart from Homespun Elegance. It came with the little thread stand, but I wasn't ready to stitch the design I want to put on that, so I chose this one.

A little vintage seam tape and some poly-fil and I had a perfectly prim pyn cushion.

Punkin Head

 Say hello to Punkin Head

He is not for sale, and lives in my stitching room, though he has cousins who will be visiting my Etsy store soon!

Boo, first of his name.

 This is Boo.

Boo isn't for sale, he is the first official actual prim doll I created.
I learned a lot in the making of him, and he has a place of honor in my stitching room.
